HOW
YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE
SPREAD
THE WORD!
Whether you represent a company, a service organization, a church, a
school, or just yourself as a citizen, the WTC Steel Foundation needs
your help. Tremendous efforts from people across the country helped ORHS
Student Council secure the materials for the memorial on their campus
and the steel for the national campaign. Your biggest contribution
might be merely spreading the word of the idea and of this web site to
all of your family, friends, and your state legislators. The more
individuals, organizations, and media outlets know about this national
memorial plan, the easier it will be to gain the cooperation from the
people making decisions in each state capital.
BECOME
A WTC STEEL SPONSOR!
Financial contributions are also necessary. Would you, your
company, or service organization become a WTC Steel Sponsor today to
help make this project a reality? One example is the Oak Ridge
Breakfast Rotary Club, which, on the morning of the unveiling ceremony
on the ORHS campus, collected $911 to contribute to the effort.
That number has taken on special significance, and is certainly an
appropriate target amount to be raised by other schools student
government associations or community service groups. We hope
businesses and organizations across America will commit to give $911 or
more to the effort.
The WTC Steel Foundation
has officially become a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Charitable Foundation.
100% of
donations will go to construction and distribution of the plaques and
promoting the idea in the media and with legislatures. This complete dedication of
funds to the actual work is possible because the work of the Foundation
will be carried out by its officers, board members, and students and
staff of Oak Ridge Schools all on a volunteer basis. All donations
are tax deductible.
